Why we exist
Naagin was founded with a rebellious spirit and no small objective: to offer instant taste upgrades to people (of passion) who want better food, and to bring a modern twist to India’s historic and passionate relationship with spices.
Every idea starts with a problem.
Ours was simple: India is the largest consumer and exporter of chillies in the world. Indian cuisine is globally renowned for all things spicy, yet still, the best-selling hot sauce in India is an American product made with chillies from Mexico. That just didn't feel right.
It turns out, there was a simple explanation.
There were no good alternatives.
The food industry is dominated by companies who want you to buy more of the same > not buy new and better. They want you to eat products they know they can sell, not the ones they know you will love.
This is why we all get the same old products with the same old flavours.
How we do food better
We started Naagin to create that alternative. We want to reimagine Indian spices, not the way it is, but how it could be.
We want to explore food, because we’ve never met anyone that said, ‘I don’t like improving my life and I don’t want better tasting food.’ Ever.
By side-stepping traditional channels, by designing our hot sauces and other spice-based taste upgrades in-house and by engaging with customers directly – we’re able to provide uniquely-flavoured, higher-quality, better tasting products designed for your palate.
